Millbrook Launches New Website
May 19th 2020
We have invested £120m in our test facilities since 2015 and now operate six sites. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of Millbrook Proving Ground in the UK, where it all started. Our facilities and the shape of the company have changed dramatically over the years, so we have tried to reflect this in our new website, including as much information as possible about all of the services that we offer.
Few could have predicted the situation we currently find ourselves in, in the midst of a global pandemic. With the help and determination of everyone involved, our operations remain 'COVID-secure'. We are continuing to offer practically all of our test services to our customers, while respecting the new rules and minimising risks.
Our test tracks remain operational in the UK and Finland.
We are continuing to process applications for new track driving permits and renewals while prioritising safety. A series of videos have been created to temporarily replace the usual guided tour, and there is a virtual examination.
The construction of our new 4WD Variable Temperature Emissions Chamber (VTEC) is progressing and we still plan to open the facility this year.
Thanks to the implementation of a remote desktop application for our Simulator Suite, engineers and drivers can communicate new configurations and data requests in real time, while remaining socially distanced.
We are still running electrified driveline tests.
Customers can view installations and watch live Sled testing remotely to achieve sign off and progress development programs.
